This is my first rosin review, and I couldn’t be more stoked that it’s a local Alberta drop. Invader’s Sour Cherry Diesel, crafted by Crop Circle Cannabis and brought to market by Freedom Cannabis, is a small-batch solventless release that hits all the right notes.

Crop Circle is an Alberta-based producer focused on premium rosin, made in a purpose-built facility by people who clearly know their hash. It’s exciting to see this level of quality coming out of the local scene.

Let’s get into it.

🌁 Visual – 9/10

This rosin has a glossy amber gold color that looks great in the jar and even better on the tool. The finish has a terpy glisten with a grainy, almost batter-like texture that feels just right for a full-spectrum hash rosin. It looks how you want it to look.

🔘 Consistency – 9/10

At room temp, the texture is firm but wet and grainy. It's super easy to work with. Scooping out the right size dab is effortless. After getting halfway through the jar, there was no noticeable change in consistency. It holds up nicely over time.

👃 Aroma – 8/10

Right when you crack the jar, you get a fruity cherry note with some c-funk in the background. After letting it warm up slightly, a bit of citrus funk starts to shine through. The terp profile is clean and balanced. That light cherry tone gives way to a citrusy finish that rounds things out nicely.

💨 Draw & Exhale – 8/10

The dab was smooth with no harshness and no cough. The exhale came through clean. There was a slight sharpness through the nose at the end of the flavor, right as the cherry switched over to citrus funk, but nothing off-putting.

👅 Flavor – 8/10

The flavor hits fast. It starts off with that fruity cherry you smell on the cold crack, then shifts into a lighter citrus funk. The first two-thirds of the dab are where all the flavor action happens. It does taper off a bit toward the finish. Still, it’s a clean transition. The flavor was layered and sat in that medium-strength zone. Not overpowering, but definitely expressive.

🍬 Aftertaste – 9/10

No weird linger or distracting residue here. The finish is clean, with a pleasant trace of fruity citrus funk. No sticky teeth or film in the mouth. Just a fresh aftertaste that fits the overall profile.

🔥 Residue – 10/10

This one melts super clean. There was no leftover char, no grit, and no cloudiness. After the dab, everything felt crisp. Definitely a top-tier finish.

🧠 Effects – 9/10

The high hits fast, right to the front of the brow. It’s a heady kind of euphoria, not too overpowering, and lands with a clean punch. It delivers what you'd expect from a quality hybrid. Solid mental lift with a relaxed body vibe.

📦 Packaging – 10/10

Packaging is on point. It comes in a glass jar with a vacuum-sealed pop-vac lid. Labels are detailed with cannabinoid and terpene breakdowns, micron size, and press temp. No guesswork here. Everything is clearly laid out and presented cleanly.

💰 Value – 9/10

At 59.99 MSRP, this sits just below the ultra-premium tier. It’s fresh, locally available in Alberta, and hits all the quality marks. Being part of a rotating strain lineup means you might not always catch this one. But if you do, it’s a safe and flavorful pickup. Definitely worth the price.

🧮 Final Score: 89 / 100

This offering from Invader is a pleasure to dab. The flavor hits strong and early, with that fruity cherry giving way to a clean citrus finish. If I had one wish, it would be for the flavor to last just a bit longer through the end of the dab. Still, it’s a clean, flavorful drop with serious appeal.
